Who Can Play

Children that live in our district or goes to a school in our district can play for NPLL. To find out if you qualify to play for New Prairie Little League, please visit LittleLeague.org here: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder/

We have programs for children ages 4 to 16. If your child was born before August 31st 2017 he/she is eligible to play tee-ball.

Please note that the age chart for softball is different from the age chart for baseball. Tee-ball and Farm ball will follow the age chart for baseball. For more information on age restrictions please see LittleLeague.org here: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/determine-league-age/

How Long is the Season?

Depending on the coach and the age group your child qualifies to play in, your practices can start as early as mid March to as late as early April. Opening day is April 24th and the regular spring season will go until the end of June.

All star tournaments will start in early July and run to the end of July depending on the age division and how far the teams progress.

What Division Should I Choose for my Child?

Online registration is set up to show you the divisions your son/daughter qualify for. The decision to place your son/daughter in a particular division will be up to you and where you think their skill set is.

  • Tee-Ball: age = 4/5
  • Farm Ball: age = 6/7
  • Instructional: age = 7/8
  • Minors: age = 8/11
  • Majors: age = 10/12
  • Juniors/seniors: age = 13 and up

Please note that at the higher divisions there are stricter age rules as to when a child must move up in divisions. Please refer to LittleLeague.org for more information on age and divisions: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/determine-league-age/

What Happened to the $50 Concession Stand Fee?

The fee is now wrapped into the registration fee.

Team managers and those that volunteer at the concession stand are eligible to be refunded the $50 fee. Assistant coaches do not qualify and must designate a person to cover a shift at the concession stand to receive the $50 refund.

Please note that the concession stand schedule will be made available online two weeks prior to opening day. We will reserve this time for parents in the league to reserve a time to work the concession stand. After opening day the schedule will be open to the community, non-profits, schools groups, etc to earn $25 per person/per shift.
